Roberto Blanco was born in Tunisia in 1937 as the son of a Cuban artist couple. The 85-year-old actor, singer and entertainer lived in Beirut and Madrid before beginning his career as an actor in the 1957 film "Der Stern von Afrika". 

As a singer, he worked with Josephine Baker. After that, he started his professional career as a pop singer in Germany, which still continues today. In 1971, he obtained the German citizenship. He has been quite successful as a presenter or jury on German TV, at the same time he appeared repeatedly  in commercials.

In 2013, Roberto Blanco was a guest at the Adler Asperg several times. The popular singer still performs sometimes. Next he will be on stage at the "Schlager trifft Pop" in Essen.
