What would Christmas be without Christmas biscuits? For an Adler Asperg Christmas feeling, you can bake almond cinnamon thalers at home with this recipe from our kitchen director. For this you will need the following ingredients:

65 g. Almonds, 60 g. Almonds with shell, 25 g. Starch, ½ tsp. baking powder, 1 pinch of salt, vanilla or vanilla sugar, 100 g.. Maple syrup and cinnamon sugar.

Finely grind the almonds with and without the shell in a mixer. You could also use ground almonds, but for a better result we recommend processing the almonds yourself.

Add the starch, baking powder, salt and some vanilla or vanilla sugar and mix. Lastly, add the maple syrup and mix. Leave the almond and cinnamon dough mixture to stand for a short time. 

Twist off balls of the dough and roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Flatten the balls slightly and place them on a baking tray. Then bake the Almond Cinnamon Rolls in the oven at 175ºC for about 10-11 minutes. Let them cool on the tray until they get cold.
